New England Revolution Players and Local Youth Shopped for School Supplies to Donate to Local Charity, Cradles to Crayons

Nine excited students of Gardner Pilot Academy put down their pencils to spend the afternoon shopping for school supplies with two of the New England Revolution’s top players, Kevin Alston and Kelyn Rowe at the original Staples store in Brighton on August 14th. The group of students and professional athletes shopped ‘til they dropped and contributed one thousand dollars worth of school supplies in support of the second event of the Revs Charitable Drive Series benefiting Cradles to Crayons.

Alston and Rowe were excited to join the local students in selecting necessary school supplies being donated to Cradles to Crayons, an organization that provides low-income and homeless children (up to age 12) in Massachusetts and greater Philadelphia with the essential items they need to learn and thrive.  The kids were seen with carts full of pencils, pens, markers and notebooks going up and down the aisles all for charity.

The official collection takes place at Gillette Stadium on August 17th home game vs. the Chicago Fire at 7:30pm.
