HOLIDAY ARTS & EATS FESTIVAL COMES TO ASSEMBLY ROW IN SOMERVILLE

What promises to be one of the largest holiday events in the greater Boston area, the Holiday Arts & Eats Festival at Assembly Row in Somerville, will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 6th- -7th -8th, featuring 25 of New England’s best food trucks, a large holiday market featuring Etsy artists with more than 60 vendors and more. This food–truck-festival-meets-arts-market derived inspiration from traditional European Chriskindl markets. Holiday Arts & Eats will be held under a large heated tent at Assembly Row filled with artists and vendors, a beer garden on Friday evening, food court seating for enjoying food purchased at the food trucks and plenty of holiday cheer.

“There are few large holiday events that integrate food and art. Assembly Row is the perfect setting for an event that will provide three days of holiday fun and shopping”, said Andrea Simpson, Director of Marketing and Tourism at Assembly Row. “This is the first holiday food truck festival in the region. Adding an artistic component truly creates a modern Christkindl market —with several contemporary twists and a very local feel.”

Friday night, December 6th, will be a 21+ evening — “Holiday Arts & Eats After Dark,” featuring, a beer and hot wine (Gluhwein) area, live local music, food trucks and over 60 Etsy artisans. After Dark attendees will get the first look at artist offerings, perfect for getting a jump on holiday shopping.
