Brookline Students Post Top Math Scores

Sixteen Brookline students who attend the award-winning Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) for afterschool math enrichment were recognized for posting top scores on standardized tests and in national and international math competitions during 2012-2013 school year.  The Brookline students were among hundreds of RSM students from the Greater Boston recognized for outstanding achievement in mathematics.

To qualify for a 2013 RSM Achievement Award RSM students had to meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Certificate of Achievement or higher from American Mathematics Contest (AMC) for middle school and high school students.
• A Perfect Score of 800 on the Math SAT as a 10th or 11th grader
• A Score of 700 or above on Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (JH CTY) SAT
• State or National Ranking in Math Kangaroo International Olympiad
• A gold or silver pin in the Middle School Olympiad for Elementary and Middle School Students (MOEMS)

Brookline students receiving awards for mathematical excellence include:
