Since 2005, sisters Terry and E.G. Meyers have catered to the passionate pet owners of Brookline with their unique Coolidge Corner boutique, Cause to Paws. Dog and cat owners can find everything they need for their pets, including: sweaters, swimsuits and socks, queaky and beanie toys, organic treats, grooming tools, bowls, vitamins, leashes, and flea and tick treatments. For birthdays and other special occasions, the store sells custom-made cakes and gourmet treats shaped like bones, crowns, pizza slices or lobsters, among other things. The owners hold a variety of community events throughout the year, including an annual Halloween party. Pet owners are encouraged to come in costumes with their dressed-up four-legged friends and participate in activities like bobbing for miniature hot dogs.
