Where's Whitey?

Former mobster Kevin Weeks will make a special appearance at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton on Sunday, November 11 at 7pm, as he accompanies author Phyllis Karas to discuss their new book, Where’s Whitey?

Weeks was the top lieutenant to James “Whitey” Bulger, the notorious, alleged Boston mob boss. Weeks teamed up with writer Phyllis Karas to pen his New York Times best-selling memoir, Brutal: The Untold Story of My Life Inside Whitey Bulger’s Irish Mob.  Weeks and Karas then wrote Where’s Whitey?, a fictional account of Whitey’s 16 years on the run based on information omitted from the memoir. Now, the Bulger trial is scheduled for March and Weeks will be a main witness. While Weeks is not granting any major interviews before the trial, he has agreed to accompany Karas to the JCC to discuss their book, along with his life with Bulger.

The JCC is located at 333 Nahanton Street. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Book Fair. Cost is $8. Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/bookfair or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org
