The Trustees of the Brookline Public Library invite you to travel back in time to the glory days of Filene’s Basement with a special screening of the Emmy nominated documentary Voices From the Basement.

The film is a collection of stories told by the people who worked and shopped at Filene’s. Celebrities, politicians, employees, and loyal shoppers share their passion for this landmark institution that had been one of Boston’s most visited tourist attractions for generations. The producers will join us as we share stories and celebrate Filene’s Basement.
This program is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Light refreshments will be served.

More About Coolidge Corner Branch Library
Completed in 1957, the Coolidge Corner branch has a large lending collection, gallery space, computers and sections for children and young adults. Its most distinguishing feature is a sunlit atrium decorated with plants and furniture for relaxed reading.
The branch also maintains a collection of books, DVDs and newspapers in Hebrew, and is the only library in town to offer Chinese lanaguage materials.
