Town Wide Cleat Exchange
Trade your old cleats that don't fit for a pair that does! Or just donate the cleats you no longer need. In addition, there will be an evening pooled exchange and sale. Cleats may also be purchased at low cost with proceeds of sales going to the Friends of Brookline Recreation sports scholarship fund. Further details will be announced in school PTO newsletters. Volunteers are needed! If you can give even as little as 15 minutes of your time to help run the exchange in your school, contact Elizabeth at email@example.com.
The Pooled exchange will take place on April 5th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Main Gym facility
Location: Cleats will be exchanged at each of the 8 elementary schools with the pooled exchange at Main Gym Facility.
More About Baker School
The Edith C. Baker School is Brookline's second largest elementary, serving nearly 700 children from the Chestnut Hill and South Brookline communities. A richly diverse school where nearly one-third of students speak English as a second language, the Baker School is home to both the system-wide Korean English Language Learners and Cognitively Impaired Special Education programs. The Brookline Early Education Program runs pre-kindergarten classes at the school.
Two new wings were added when the Baker School was renovated in 2000, creating space for a new library, cafeteria and classrooms. Dr. Mary Brown serves as principal.
