Juanita Allen Kingsley, Director of Business Development for Century Health Systems, the parent company of the Natick Visiting Nurse Association and New Century Homecare Services

A health educator, Ms. Kingsley trains more than 2,000 people in the MetroWest region annually through her First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, CPR and AED classes in addition to the variety of health and safety programs she teaches. Juanita has successfully created and facilitated various programs aimed at providing individuals of varying ages and backgrounds the necessary education and tools to foster effective and positive social development. A certified EMT since 2001, Juanita managed the Wellness Center at Hale Reservation (the nation’s largest day camp); served as health care supervisor at Horizons for Youth, Sharon, Mass.; and has served as instructor trainer and instructor with the Red Cross, American Heart Association, Medic First Aid and National Safety Council. She received her Wilderness EMT training certification through Mountain Aid Training International.

DETAILS:

A valuable two-hour program, Social Netiquette is designed to teach attendees how to make safe choices regarding social networking. Focus is on staying safe and protecting identity as youth regularly navigate through online social networks. The course is open to anyone ages 10-12.

Built in 1910 and renovated in 2003, the main branch of the Brookline Public Library features a children's room, teen section, computers, meeting facilities and an extensive collection of books, newspapers, CDs and movies. The branch is also home to the Brookline Room, which includes a wide range of historical documents from the town's 300-year history. In addition to the nearly 500,000 items in its own collections, the Brookline Public Library is a member of the Minuteman Library Network, which gives residents access to materials at 42 libraries in Eastern Massachusetts.
