 osers on Sunday\, February 10th at 4:00pm in Bakalar Recital Hall for fr
 ee. This is a program of rarely performed chamber music gems featuring t
 he unusual instrumentation of flute\, violin\, viola and piano. The uniq
 ue combination of instruments allowed composers to stretch the boundarie
 s of traditional roles and create new textures.&nbsp\;The concert featur
 es BMS faculty members Philip Rush\, viola\, Michelle Rush\, violin\,
  Lindsay Albert\, piano\, and Amy Poliakoff\, flute. Mrs. Poliakoff wi
 ll play on all pieces.\nThe Program includes&nbsp\;Beethoven&rsquo\;s Se
 renade in D Major Opus 25 for flute\, violin and viola (1801)\, Pierre S
 ancan&rsquo\;s Sonatine for flute and piano&nbsp\;(1946)\, and Maurice D
 urufle&rsquo\;s Prelude\, Recitatif et Variations&nbsp\;Opus 3 for flute

  and DM\, Florida State University. Performs with chamber ensembles and 
 orchestras throughout New England on modern and baroque viola. Her resea
 rch on injury prevention and the physiology of string playing is a corne
 rstone of her teaching method\, a hallmark of her playing and has been p
 ublished in the ASTA journal.\nPhilip Rush Violin\; Viola. BA\, cum laud
 e\, University of California at Riverside\; Master of Fine Arts in viola
  performance\, California Institute of the Arts\; Doctor of Music in vio

 e South Shore Conservatory. Performs with the Gardner Chamber Orchestra\

 nd Cantata Singers.\nSelections from Classical to Modern Composers is th
 e third concert in the Brookline Music School&rsquo\;s 2012-2013 Faculty
  Artist Series. The BMS Faculty Artist Series features a colorful spectr
 um of musical backgrounds to include jazz\, folk\, classical and ethnic 
 styles. The superb quality of educational offerings at BMS is made possi
 ble by the high level of arts education\, musicianship and pedagogical e
 xperience of the faculty. The faculty at Brookline Music School is compr
 ised of over sixty highly experienced music educators\, most of whom als
 o pursue active careers as performers\, recording artists or composers\,
  and hold graduate degrees or higher from the world&rsquo\;s most notabl
 e conservatories and universities.\nBrookline Music School&rsquo\;s 2012
 -2013 Faculty Artist Series will continue with Sunday concerts at 4:00pm
  with Lorraine &amp\; Bennett Hammond (Traditional American folk music\,
  featuring Appalachian dulcimer\, banjos\, guitar\, mandolin &amp\; voca
 ls)&nbsp\;on March 10\, and Valerie Ross\, piano (Romantic to Modern\, B
 rahms\, Debussy\, Rzewski and Messiaen piano) on May 12.&nbsp\;Meet the 
 artist receptions will immediately follow each concert.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nb
