DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the richness of bold and imaginative organ music and th
 e fulfillment of shared dreams?&nbsp\; Church of Our Savior invites one 
 and all to join us at 4pm on Sunday February 10 at 25 Monmouth Street to
   hear international celebrity organist\, Peter Sykes\, play a dedicatio
 n  recital on our newly restored 1887 Hook and Hastings Tracker Organ Op
 us  1366.  A compelling and moving recital held in our church followed b
 y a bountiful post-recital  reception in our Lawrence Room is planned.&n
 bsp\; The recital will feature a  smorgasbord of works that highlight th
 e beauty of organ music master  composers such as Felix Mendelsohn\, Jam
 es Woodman\, Edward Elgar\, Louis  Verne\, and J.S. Bach.&nbsp\; The con
 cert is dedicated to one of our most  cherished congregants\, Mr. Peter 
 Shaw\, for his incredible gift of this  marvelous\, richly voiced organ 
 to Church of Our Savior. We had longed  hoped for an organ this spectacu
 lar\, but never thought it possible.&nbsp\;  The organ\, a Hook and Hast
 ings organ\, Op. 1366 of 1887\, was built  here in Boston and is more or
  less unchanged since its construction.&nbsp\; It  is startlingly simila
 r to the original organ installed in our parish\,  Hook and Hastings Op.
  485\, given by Mrs. Sarah E. Lawrence in 1869.&nbsp\;  The organ has pr
 eviously been at only one church\, Felicity Methodist  in New Orleans.&n
 bsp\; During Hurricane Katrina\, a large section of the roof  was lost a
 nd the church and organ sustained substantial damage.&nbsp\; The  organ 
 was purchased by Mr. Shaw and completely restored by Redman Organ  Works
  of Ft. Worth\, TX.&nbsp\;  Please join us to celebrate that shared drea
 ms\, held in faith\, really do come true.
