Dr. Robert Stern will present his research involving the long-term effects of repetitive brain trauma in athletes, and address many aspects of concussions including recognition, treatment, and prevention. Dr. Stern is a Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Boston University School of Medicine, and the father of two Beaver students.

More About Beaver Country Day School
Founded in 1920 as one of the nation's earliest progressive schools, Beaver Country Day School now serves around 420 boys and girls in grades 6 through 12 at its 17-acre wooded campus on the Newton line.
In addition to a full academic curriculum, the school offers athletic programs in a wide variety of sports in its 39,000-square-foot athletic center, which opened in 2007. A new 30,000-square-foot Visual and Performing Arts Center opened in 2004.
