Curious about what Brookline kids are really up to these days? B-PEN (Brookline Parent Education Network) and B-CASA (Brookline Coalition Against Substance Abuse) invite all parents and members of the greater Brookline community who care about the wellbeing of our youth to a “Coffee and Conversation” breakfast Oct. 25. This event will focus on the new findings of Brookline’s latest Student Health Survey, which asked all Brookline students in grades 7-12 about behavior and attitudes on issues ranging from marijuana and alcohol to relationships and sexual practices. After exploring some of the latest youth trends and their ramifications, we will join with BHS teen Peer Leaders to illuminate some of the causes of risky behavior and brainstorm where we might go from here as a community to keep Brookline kids safe. For more information, please contact Mary Minott, mminott@brooklinema.gov. To RSVP, please go to http://bpen.eventbrite.com.
