Brookline Music School (BMS) is pleased to present a Classical Piano Master Class led by world renowned conductor and pianist Andy Icochea Icochea on Saturday, May 19 at 4:00pm. The event will feature student performances from the BMS piano department followed by interactive coaching sessions with Mr. Icochea Icochea. The event is free and open to the general public.
Andy Icochea Icochea became artistic director of PALS Children's Chorus in July 2011. Before joining PALS, Icochea Icochea was Kapellmeister with the Vienna Boys Choir for six years, during which time he prepared the choir to sing regularly with the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera. He also conducted more than 400 concerts and led the choir on tours across 27 countries and four continents. Reviews typically commented not only on the performances' musical brilliance, but also on Icochea Icochea's spirited energy and conducting style and the vibrant connection he creates with his choristers and audience.

More About Brookline Music School
Brookline Music School was founded by the Brookline Public School in 1924 as a non-profit community center for the arts. Today, the school gives private lessons and classes for all ages. In addition to instuments, it also offers vocal instruction. There is a recital hall for student and faculty concerts, and a scholarship program for students who might otherwise be unable to take a music class. The school currently resides on the William H. Lincoln School's campus.
