Governor's Council: Sheff v. Devaney

As you probably know by now, Marilyn Devaney beat Charlie Shapiro and Harry Margolis for Governor's Council in District 3.  Even though Harry and Charlie lost, they exposed how vulnerable Marilyn is in this election. She only received roughly 40 percent of her own party's votes. People that vote in the primary are the most astute political observers and pundits, 60 percent of her own party voted against her. There's no doubt that had Harry run by himself his campaign would have been successful. The same argument could be made for Charlie.

I don't like speaking ill of my opponent, so I'll quote the Boston Globe article written about the Governor's Council on September 3. It was reported:

"Councilor Marilyn Petitto Devaney, for example, has been cited multiple times for driving an unregistered vehicle and received probation after an alleged altercation with a clerk.  Devaney, who frequently challenges nominees on their history of political contributions has twice drawn scrutiny for claims she failed to properly report campaign loans."

(She probably would have voted against herself for failing to properly report her campaign loans).

I just want to say if you care about the government gaining the public's trust, you shouldn't be with a candidate who seems to be oblivious to the law.  How does the government gain public trust when people elect sketchy candidates?

I am asking for your support. Thank you for reading this.

Sincerely,

Tom Sheff

Sheff is just another sleazy wannabe... does"nt want to bad mouth her himself but uses third party info to do his dirty work. I have known Devaney for over 20 years and she is a stand up person. The attacks on her have been from the liberals who do not like her asking the right questions. Vote her in again, and we will keep some honesty in government.

And don't forget Sheff is "inclined" (his own words) to give violent murderers like Dominic Cinelli a chance to get out on parole to work and adjust back into society.

Jim, all I did was pass around an article. I'm friends with Charlie Shapiro, one of Marilyn's opponents in the primary, she intentionally misinformed the public about Charlie's wife. This so-called stand up politician as you say told her democratic froiends that Charlie's wife is a member of the tea party. Clearly she's not. While she intentionally misinfoirmed people all I did was pass out a truthful article. Nothing in that article was ubtrue. If there was untruth to the article Marilyn would have been suing the Globe by now. So, you can keep putting into office someone who clearly has issues or take a chance with new representation, better representation.
