Whiz Kids: Four Brookline Kid Actors

These four Brookline kids know it's a sin "To Kill a Mockingbird."

Names: Sam Payne, Jordan Underwood, Alec Shiman and Charlotte McMahon

Key to Awesomeness: The four young stars are appearing in the Boston Children's Theatre (BCT) production of "To Kill a Mockingbird." The play, adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning Harper Lee novel, follows the life of Scout Finch and her brother Jem, as they look closely at social tension, racism, morality and love through the eyes of childhood innocence. Academy Award Nominee Mary Badham, who played Scout in the 1962 version of the film, will attend the opening night showing.

These students were nominated by Julie Averdon, PR and Marketing Director at the BCT. The show runs May 7 - 15 at the Boston Center for the Arts.  For tickets and information, visit the BCT websiteKnow another Brookline teen or child who deserves recognition for doing something great. Email us with their name, age and a photo to nominate our next Whiz Kid.
