Which Fall TV Shows Are You Enjoying Most?
The new fall television season is well underway; which new shows are you sticking with?
Yes, I know, cable TV shows launch year-round.
But network television still, mostly, stays with the annual fall tradition of launching a slew of new shows at once and calling it 'the new season.'
Which ones have you tried?
I was surprised by how much I liked the first episode of Last Resort (ABC) — and how much I, a fan of the BBC series, Sherlock, disliked the new Holmesian series Elementary on CBS.
Not to rush to judgment, but there's only so much space on my DVR hard drive.
While we're at it, not a completely new show, but what about the TNT series Major Crimes, which has just recently been spun out of the late, beloved The Closer?
Of the new shows you have you seen — which do you recommend? Tell us in the comments section below, including the shows of which we should steer clear!

I am greatly enjoying "Sons of Anarchy," and the "Good Wife." Both are well-written shows that do a great job of developing characters.

Currently loving "The Mindy Project" on FOX. It's a great half-hour of comedy. "Modern Family" and "Parks and Recreation" are more comedies that don't disappoint. In terms of dramas, "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" on ABC Sunday nights are very entertaining. "Once" is a great drama for the whole family too!

And if we are talking about cable shows, my current fave is Boardwalk Empire. Lots of new twists and turns to follow.

All the standards. Both NCIS shows. Hawaii 5-0. Castle. And of course Ghost Hunters and Mythbusters. Elementary isn't very good though. Too bad, I thought it would be better.

I didn't have high hopes for Elementary, because I saw and loved the BBC's Sherlock, which is kind of the same idea, and figured it would probably be a lame rip-off...
Although, I was kind of intrigued by Lucy Liu as Watson. I may check out TNT's Perception, which has a similar vibe.

If anybody mentions "2 Broke Girls," they will be banned. I'm kidding. But seriously, that show is horrendous.

I know what you mean! I was channel surfing during commercials the other day (Monday or whatever day it comes on) and saw 3 minuets of it. Rich girl still wearing horrendous pearls. Horse comes walking in through back door and eats cupcake batter. WTF? I get it is supposed to be a comedy but don't they live in NYC Apartment? Am I missing something? A Horse? Really?! I couldn't suspend my belief enough to watch more than the three minutes.

Perception is really good. we all like it here. But elementary came off as kind of a Mentalist rip off. only Sherlock is even more abrasive. Almost felt embarrassed for the character. Like they are trying to hard to make the character rude,

Homeland is pretty powerful; I have had three free months of Showtime to get me hooked with starter Homeland.

Ahem... Hawaii 5-0, 666 Park Avenue, New Normal, Go On, The Office, Glee, The Voice, Last Resort, Revolution, Fringe (SO love this show), Once Upon a Time, New Girl. Shows not yet back on: Smash, Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Sherlock (no power on earth could make me watch Elementary).
Being single has its advantages ;)

@Wendy, yes to Fringe! And I agree that Revolution shows some promise. And I'm curious about your Elementary comment; you wouldn't take it out for a test drive because -- it's not made by Brits? Because Jonny Lee Miller doesn't wear the funny hat? Because Benedict Cumberbatch is so terrific?

My favorite is Parenthood (makes me cry every episode!) and Dexter is so suspenseful. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Homeland and Treme. They are on opposite each other, so I record Treme for later.
