What's Open, What's Closed on MLK Day in Brookline

A glance at the types of offices and businesses that will be closed today.

 

Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion.

Liquor stores: Open.

Supermarkets: Open.

Convenience stores: Open.

Taverns, bars: Open.

Banks: Closed.

Stock market: Closed.

Municipal, state, federal offices: Closed.

Libraries: Closed.

Schools: Closed.

Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only.

Parking: Parking meters not enforced. No need to feed the meter.

MBTA Schedule:

  • Subway: Saturday schedule
  • Bus: Saturday schedule
  • Commuter Rail: Regular weekday schedule

 

According to the Department of Public Works Commissioner's page, trash pickup will be delayed by one day this week. There is no need to put your trash out today, as it will be collected tomorrow. 

The Coolidge Corner Theatre is open today, and is hosting a town event: Ayanna Pressley will Speak at Brookline MLK Celebration at 2:30 p.m.
