SUV Crashes into Summit Ave Apartments in Brookline

Brookline police say three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Shortly after 2 p.m., an SUV driving down Summit Avenue toward Beacon Street ran off the road, through a fire box and into the front door of an apartment building.

Police say that the driver lost control, and that the three occupants of the vehicle--an adult and two children--were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The vehicle ran through bushes on the front lawn, and missed hitting a tree, instead knocking down a decorative column on the front of the building.

Perfection Towing of Watertown arrived on the scene around 3 p.m., and managed to pull the vehicle out of the tight crash scene--bringing it back the way it came.
