Storm Update: Schools Closed, Town Hall Open
Check here for the latest updates on weather related delays and closures.
The snow has turned to rain and freezing rain, but many services are still being disrupted by the second half of this week's two-part storm. Here’s what’s happening out there:
Schools: Brookline Public Schools are closed today, Wednesday, Feb. 2. The Beaver Country Day School and the Dexter and Southfield Schools are closed as well
Parking: A parking ban went into effect at 8 p.m. Tuesday night and will last until 6 a.m. on Thursday. Parking is prohibited on all Brookline streets and town parking lots during this time. Boston and Newton have also declared snow emergencies.
Trash Collection: Trash pick up will be delayed by one day starting Wednesday.
Libraries: The Brookline Libraries are operating on normal hours today.
Transit: The D and C Lines saw considerable delays this morning but are currently running on schedule. The 60 bus route is skipping some stops because of slippery conditions. Go to mbta.com for the latest updates.
Town Hall: Offices are open normal hours, but many evening meetings have already been canceled. Check the Town Hall calendar for the latest closures.
