Small Fire on Winchester Street
Brookline Fire Department fought a small fire on Winchester Street on Thursday afternoon.
At about 1:20 p.m., the Brookline Fire Department responded to a fire at 34 Winchester Street.
Acting Deputy Cheif Dan Carroll said that workers we drilling in the ceiling of the second floor when they hit and electrical wire.
"It wasn't a long fight and there were no injuries," Carroll said. "The men did a hell of a job containing the fire."
The damage was estimated to be less than $50,000.
