Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Brookline Area, Aug. 19
The warning is in effect until 3:45 p.m.
The National Weather Service has placed North central Norfolk County, including Brookline, under a severe thunderstorm warning until 3:30 p.m.
According to the warning, there are reports of large tree branches down as a result of this storm. The warning also notes that this storm is capable of producing quarter-sized hail.
A severe thunderstorm warning means that "a severe thunderstorm has actually been observed by spotters or indicated on radar, and is occurring or imminent in the warning area."
