Serious Crash at Brookline-Newton Border
Following crash near the Hammond Pond Parkway intersection with Heath Street. Brookline and State police respond, along with fire and EMS crews.
Before 3 p.m. today, scanners reported a crash at the Brookline-Newton border, at Hammond Pond Parkway and Heath Street.
Two cars were involved in the crash, and one person was injured--reportedly laid out in the street. Police report oil, gas and other fluids in the roadway, which the fire department is soaking up with Speedy Dry.
The crash slowed traffic heavily in the area, so much so the fire department was delayed getting to the scene.
