Three Injured in Rollover Accident on VFW Parkway, Brookline

Brookline firefighters and police, Massachusetts State Police and Fallon EMS responded to a two-car crash with a rollover on the VFW Parkway at the South Street intersection, at about 3:30 this afternoon.

Multiple 911 calls were received, reporting that people were possibly trapped in one vehicle, and firefighters rescued one victim from the car without using the "Jaws of Life" or other hydraulic tools. Two passengers in the overturned minivan were able to get themselves out of their vehicle, with minor injuries.

All three victims were transported to local hospitals. The crash shut down the VFW Parkway southbound to one lane, as firefighters cleaned up the scene and cleared fluid from the scene of the accident. 

The cause of the crash in under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police.
