Patch Picks: Burger Time!

It's not Meatless Monday, so it's time to get yourself a juicy burger. This week, Patch Picks some of the best spots to do just that.

A flavorful patty formed from fresh ground beef, cooked to perfection and served with the best toppings you can find is enough to make my mouth water. This week, Patch picked some of the best spots to get a burger in Brookline. Was your favorite on the list?

American Craft Bar
Why?: In addition to the craft beer selection here, the burgers come in a wide variety. Whether it's the turkey or veggie burgers, or an all-beef patty topped with a fried egg, there's something for every taste and beer pairing.

The Regal Beagle
Why?: You get what you pay for, and if you're willing to splurge a little, you'll get something delicious. The Regal Burger, for example, comes on a light brioche bun, with bread and butter pickles and cheddar cheese.

Jimmy's Bar and Oven
Why?: Perhaps you're having a hard time convincing your family or roommates to go out for a burger with you. In addition to the burgers here at Jimmy's, they've also got some Italian classics, such as chicken parm and gnocchi.

The Publick House
Why?: If you've got a great burger, you'll also need to get some great fries to go with it. Fortunately, Brookline is also home to a spot with some of the best french fries in the Boston area.

Your Backyard
Why?: Want that burger cooked exactly how you want it, seasoned perfectly by your tastes and then doused in just the right amount of barbecue sauce? Then there's no place better than your own backyard, on the grill, to get the perfect burger. Not confident you can make a burger as good as a restaurant? There are countless recipes and guides available that'll make you a burger pro in no time.
