An eyewitess, who walks Jamaica Pond every morning with his friends, told Jamaica Plain Patch they were the ones who found the body floating early Friday morning. The witness, Rueben (of Roslindale) said they found a blonde woman face down in the water. At first, he said, he thought it was a mannequin. When they realized it wasn't, they stopped another person at the pond who had a cell phone and called police.

Boston police have been on the scene all morning, with police boats recovering the body from the water.
