Late Friday Fire in Beacon Street Apartment

Fire in Pelham Hall closes part of Beacon Street late Friday night.

Brookline Fire and Police departments responded to a fire on the second floor of 1284 Beacon Street, at around 11:20 p.m. Friday night. Firefighters reported no injuries, and that the fire was under control by around 11:45 p.m.

Police closed part of Beacon Street on the outbound side while fire crews tended to the fire. The road was re-opened shortly after midnight.

Local Twitter user Max Finkel was on the scene, and tweeted photos from outside of Fugakyu restaurant, located on the floor below.
