Hops and Scotch Looking at Next Week Opening?
Coolidge Corner's soon-to-be "gastrolounge" is aiming for a soft open in the coming weeks.
The paper may soon come off the former Finale windows to reveal Brookline's newest spot for craft beers and scotches: Hops and Scotch.
In answer to questions from followers on its Facebook page, a restaurant spokesperson says Hops and Scotch is looking for a soft-open next week. The menu should have craft beers, scotches, and comfort food--and owners plan to make it a family-friendly eatery.
Boston Eater reports that the space's designer Stephen Sousa (who is also working on City Landing on the Waterfront), has created a mostly brown interior with long leather booths and hardwood floors. See more photos on the Hops and Scotch Facebook album.
Coolidge Corner Wine and Spirits owners Young Hop Ng and Darren Tow, are opening the new venture in the former home of Brookline's Finale location. They got their liquor license for the gastro-lounge from the Board of Selectmen at the end of February.
