Heat Advisory Issued for Brookline
Heat indices may hit 103 degrees on Wednesday.
There's no doubt the next two days will feel hot, hot, hot.
With temperatures expected to reach the lower 90s and dew points in the 60s, forecasters are calling for heat indices to hit the century mark, going as high as 103 degrees.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create the possibility of heat illnesses.
Long durations outside are discouraged during this period. People who are outside are encouraged to stay hydrated.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
Brookline won't get a break on Thursday, as temperatures are expected to hit 96.
