Editor's Note: This event was mentioned in the Get Out column this week, this information is a follow-up to that. 

On Sunday the Emerald Necklace Conservancy is shutting down vehicle traffic on the streets connecting Franklin Park and Jamaica Pond.

The idea is to create a car-free corridor for residents to walk, bike, dance and otherwise enjoy themselves.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but street closures begin at 9 a.m. The attached files tell you everything you'll need to know to enjoy the event — and, for people who have cars on those streets, where you can stash them while the event is going on.

Activities will include yoga, free bikes at Green Street MBTA, fitness clinics, music and more.

Here are some highlights. Please see the attached PDFs for full details.

• The streets that will be car-free are: Glen, Green, Myrtle and Pond.
• Car traffic will be allowed on the major arteries crossing these areas, with police officers directing the vehicles. Cars can cross Green at Forest Hills, Amory, Washington and Centre. The Jamaicaway will stay open to traffic, with a police officer making it safe for pedestrians.
• If you live in the blocks along the closed sections, please either leave your car parked or exit away from the street closure, if you can. The exact streets are listed in the attached PDFs.
• The parking lot at 500 and 555 Amory will be open to neighbors interested in getting their cars out before 10 a.m. Cars can exit to Union Avenue and Washington Street through the back of this lot.
• The Globe has a nice interactive Google map that includes traffic information.
