Five Things You Need to Know Today: June 27

The annual Health Care Reform forum comes on the eve of a Health Care Reform decision. There is also wine and food, and an art open house today.

 

1. 77ºF highs and 58ºF lows, and a 30 percent chance of showers during the course of the day. The National Weather Service says that rain is most likely to fall between 1 and 4 p.m. today.

2. If you are a Brookline Community Foundation grantee or would like to be, there is a BCF Grantee Information Session at 10 a.m. today.

3. Tonight, newcomer wine store (and Best Of poll winner) TerraVino is teaming up with their neighbor, Lineage to provide an evening of wine and food. The Lineage Restaurant & TerraVino Wines Dinner begins at 6 p.m. tonight, and costs you $50.

4. Tomorrow, the Supreme Court is expected to make a decision on the Healthcare Reform Act. Tonight is The 17th Annual Public Health Policy Forum Health Care Reform at the Brookline Senior Center. The forum begins at 6 p.m. tonight, and includes speakers like Stuart Altman, PhD, JudyAnn Bigby, MD, and Donald Berwick, MD. Moderated by Michael Dukakis.

5. Chabad Chai Center's Hebrew School uses arts, song and drama to teach their curriculum. Want to know more? At 7 p.m., head to the center and attend their Hebrew School of the Arts Open House for more.
