Five Things You Need to Know Today: August 24

Free fun on a Friday, musical evenings, and some food for the kids. Or, get rid of some of some old clothes.

1. The National Weather Service tells us that today's going to be sunny with a partly cloudy evening. The high temperatures should hit 83ºF, and possibly dip to 62ºF in the evening.

2. Free Fun Fridays continue, today at the Boston Harbor Island Alliance and at the USS Constitution Museum. The former is at 66 Long Wharf in Boston, the latter at 24 5th St in Charlestown. Check out some of the unique local sights, and check them out for free.

3. Coming at the end of next month is a consignment event: Outfit the Kids, which will be at the Woburn Best Western on Sept. 30. Before that, they need local consignors, which means you--if you have clothes to get rid of--could get involved now. Contact them for more information.

4. Osaka Japanese Sushi and Steakhouse is participating in Restaurant Week--which runs for the next few days--and, Kids Eat Free at Osaka Restaurant tonight starting at 4 p.m. Regular meals are $33.12 for dinner.

5. Hey, music lovers and toy lovers, get ready for Music Night with Justin Claiborne, 5 p.m. tonight at Henry Bear's Park.
