If you're planning on getting out of town for the holidays, you may want to plan around the Riverway.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation will shut down one inbound lane on the Riverway between Huntington Avenue and Brookline Avenue Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a DCR traffic advisory.
The DCR will be pruning trees in the area “in order to prevent harm to members of the public and motorists,” according to the advisory.
The schedule could change in the event of inclement weather, the advisory said.
