Cutty's "Triple-D" Segment Airing (Again) Tonight
The Diners, Drive-ins and Dives segment filmed at the Brookline Village sandwich shop will re-air tonight.
One of your neighbors is going to be on TV! Your neighbor, in this case, being Cutty's sandwich shop in Brookline Village.
The Cutty's Facebook page posted a reminder last night that their episode on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" will re-air tonight, Friday night, at 9 p.m. on the Food Network (check your local listings).
Earlier this year, the Food Network star filmed a segment at the Washington Street sandwich shop. That episode has already aired, but if you missed it the first time around, you can set your DVR tonight to catch it again.
The Food Network star's show travels around the country as the host explores local flavors. In a typical segment, the chef will show Fieri how one or two of their signature dishes are made, and then cut to diners talking about the dish.
Local sandwich shop Cutty's was one of 11 Brookline businesses to pick up one of 2011's Best of Boston awards, and was named "Best Sandwich Shop." Last year, Endless Simmer also named their Spuckie one of "America's top 10 sandwiches," and the story was picked up on Huffington Post shortly afterward.
Mere weeks after Fieri's filming, the Travel Channel stopped by Rubin's Deli on Harvard Street to film a segment there. Last year, the Travel Channel's Anthony Bourdain came to Brookline, as well, to film for "No Reservations" at Michael's Deli.
