One woman was transported to the Faulkner Hospital following a single-car crash into a pole on Goddard Avenue at the Park School about 11 a.m. today. Brookline Police shut down Goddard Ave between Avon Street and Rockwood Street while Firefighters and Paramedics worked the scene and poured sand on fluids in the roadway.

The cause of the accident remains unclear, but police are investigating the scene. Goddard Avenue was reopened to traffic about 11:45 a.m. after the vehicle was towed and fluids cleared from the roadway.
