Campers learn healthy cooking during Beaver Country Day School's summer programs

The Beaver Country Day School has partnered with Healthy Habits Kitchen in Wellesley to bring healthy cooking classes to their summer campers. Check out the photos of campers learning to cook and try out the recipe below!

 

Cranberry-Apple Chutney

  • small onion
  • 2 celery stalks
  • apple
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves

1. Chop 1/4 onion and 2 stalks celery small, core 1 apple and dice small

2. Turn on stovetop to medium and add 3/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of water and bring to boil/

3. Stir in 1 cup dried cranberries, apple, onion, celery, 1/4 cup raisins, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon cloves

4. Bring to a boil and cook 10-15 minutes.
