New This WeekHugo, Johnny English Reborn

Staff Pick: "Mao's Last Dancer." Based on a true story, it starts in China, where a young boy is selected to train to dance in ballet against all odds. He is weak and subdued, but through sheer determination, he shows that he has the heart to beat those odds. When a touring ballet instructor sees him dance, they are amazed and the now young man is brought to America to train. There he is swept away by the freedom of American society, able for the first time to do and say as he wishes. But China isn't about to let go of him yet. The young man must choose between what he wants and what is "Best for China". The dancing in this movie is beautiful, and the story is compelling.
