Brookline Officer Released From Hospital After Motorcycle Crash
Driver likely faces traffic citation.
The Brookline Police officer struck by a car while riding his motorcycle yesterday has been released from the hospital and is recovering from "minor injuries," according to police.
Initial reports indicate the officer had just turned onto Washington Street from Holden Street around 12:20 p.m. yesterday when he was struck by a black SUV pulling out of a metered parking space.
Officer Ronnie McNeil said the driver would likely receive a traffic citation, though a full accident report has not yet been completed by the department's Traffic Division.
McNeil said the officer sustained minor injuries to his back in the accident. He was released from the hospital last night and was not on duty today.
