Brookline Arrests: Teen Allegedly Pulls Fire Alarm, Sneaks into Student's Bed

The following reports detail all reported Brookline Police Department arrests for the week of Sept. 21 - 27. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
MOnday, Nov. 8

Sunday, Nov. 7
- Suspended License – Richard Bones Jr., a 19-year-old man from 23 Fountain St., Framingham, was arrested around 8 p.m. near 830 Boylston Street and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. Officer Stephen Murphy made the arrest.
- Unwanted Guest – Ashley Marie Phillips, a 19-year-old woman from 48 Omelia Road, Brood Brook, CT, was arrested around 5:30 a.m. at Newbury College, 129 Fisher Ave., and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault and causing a false fire alarm. Students at a Newbury College dormitory told police that Phillips, a former student, was drunk and refused to leave their building. The witness said they suspected Phillips had pulled two fire alarms earlier in the night. Police spoke with another set of students who reported that they had come back to their room after one of the fire alarms to find Phillips sleeping in their bed. When police woke Phillips and tried to escort her from the building, she reportedly became belligerent and abusive, cursing at officers and wrapping her legs around a stairway banister to keep them from removing her. Officer Robert Mayer made the arrest.
Saturday, Nov. 6
- Shoplifting– Michael G. Pirone, a 45-year-old man from 444 Harrison Ave., Boston, was arrested around 9:15 a.m. near 294 Harvard Street and charged with shoplifting. An employee at the CVS Pharmacy at 294 Harvard Street told police she had seen Pirone place several items from the store's refrigerator section and leave without paying for them. When he was stopped on Harvard Street, Pirone was reported carrying a bag filled with 16 cold cans of Red Bull energy drink, two containers of baby formula and two bottles of Advil. Officer William McCue made the arrest.
- Trespassing – Thomas Wright, a 45-year-old man formerly from 65 Egmont St., Brookline, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. near Dummer and St. Paul streets and charged with trespassing. Wright was arrested after he allegedly went to collect his belongings from a family member on Egmont Street. According to police, Wright had already been issued a restraining order banning him from all Brookline Housing Authority property, including the apartments on Egmont Street. Officer Brendan Kelliher made the arrest.
- No License, Insurance or Registration – Grace Dawson, a 22-year-old woman from 37 University Road, Brookline, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. near Washington and Park streets and charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, driving without insurance, driving with revoked registration and failing to submit a vehicle for inspection . Officer Robert Mayer made the arrest.

Thursday, Nov. 4
- Malicious Destruction – Jordan Alexander Dowling, an 18-year-old man from 556 Newton St., Brookline, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. at his home and charged with malicious destruction of property. Dowling reportedly broke a chain lock on the front door of his parents' house while trying to retrieve his belongings. Officer Sean Williams made the arrest.
- Warrants – Kevin Reis, a 32-year-old man from 80 Woburn St., Reading, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. near Beacon and Charles streets on two default warrants out of Melrose District Court. Officer Morgan Lee made the arrest.

- Suspended License, Registration – Gina Laurent, a 34-year-old woman from 170 Windsor St., Apt. 7, Cambridge, was arrested around 8 p.m. near 957 Commonwealth Ave. and charged with driving with a suspended license and driving with a suspended registration. Office John Jennings made the arrest.
