Brookline Arrest Log: Shoplifting at Trader Joe's; Breaking and Entering

A Cambridge man was arrested on Brainerd Road at Harvard Street at 7:34 p.m. Kaan Vatanperver, 30, of 66 Homer Ave. #204, Cambridge, was charged with driving without a license, speeding and failing to stop for police.
A Dorchester woman was arrested on 1317 Beacon St. at 11:30 a.m. Aracy Almada, 30, of 20 East Cottage St., Dorchester, was charged with shoplifting. Police said she stole gummy multivitamins, blueberries, string cheese and other food items from Trader Joe's in Coolidge Corner.
A Jamaica Plain man was arrested on Harvard Street at 1:16 a.m. Jesus Alberto Torres, 44, of 104 Minden St., Jamaica Plain, was charged with OUI liquor, a red light violation and violating marked lanes, police said.
A Brighton man was arrested at 8:29 a.m. at 1423 Beacon St. Murillo Furtado Nietto, 19, of 67 Montcalm Ave., Brighton, was charged with driving without a license, failing to stop for a red light, and failing to submit his car for inspection, police said.
An Allston woman was arrested at 69 Summit Ave. at 10:18 a.m. Laurine Rich, 50, of 90 Brainerd Road, Allston, was charged with breaking and entering during the day, resisting arrest, and trespassing.
