The following arrest report is based on Brookline Police Department reports for June 4 through 10. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Thursday, June 7

• Assault-and-battery with a dangerous weapon – Orius Fanfan, 47, of Cambridge. At about 11:45 a.m. on Beacon Street, a meter maid asked a group of cab drivers to move his car up and feed the meter. Fanfan, who she claims was wearing headphones, did not respond initially. He became angry and according to the meter maid, yelled at her that she couldn't tell him what to do, and hit her with the door of his cab, knocking her backwards. The driver was arrested and charged with assault-and-battery of a public servant, and assault-and-battery with a dangerous weapon. Police say they found a BJ's Wholesale Club card on him, and are attempting to locate the owner. 
• Breaking-and-entering in the daytime – Patrick Manning, Dorchester resident aged 44. Police were patrolling Brookline Village following a number of house breaks in the area, and were told that a man, described as a thin black male with a Yankees cap and a wooden cane, had just entered a Toxteth Street home at about 1:45 p.m. An officer in the area responded less than a minute later, and found a man fitting his description. The officer noted he was being followed by a white man on the street, who told the officer that the other man, who police identified as Manning, had been in his back yard and around the back door. A resident of the street said she had been eating lunch and heard the back door open, and thought it was a man working on trees in her yard, but saw it was an intruder--who she also identified as Manning. Police spoke with other witnesses, and then arrested and charged Manning with trespassing and breaking-and-entering in the daytime with the intent of committing a felony.

Friday, June 8

• Disorderly person – 30-year-old Daniel Crowley, reportedly comeless. A motorist sat the Harvard Street/Coolidge Street intersection stopped a police officer and told him there was a man going down Harvard, kicking and punching things. When an officer caught up to this man, he knocked over a deck chair outside of a restaurant on the 400 block of Harvard Street, then stood in front of the car yelling. Police say the man, identified as Crowley, appeared to be intoxicated. Police arrested and charged him with disorderly conduct. A check of the area did not reveal any damaged vehicles, but they did find newspaper stands knocked over. 

Sunday, June 10

• Operating under the influence of alcohol – 25-year-old Yayun Tsai, Newton resident. A police officer conducting traffic enforcement at about 2 a.m. saw a man he estimated was driving between 55 and 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. The officer also says the driver was straddling marked roadway lines. He pulled the car over and determined that the driver had been under the influence of alcohol, and arrested and charged him with operating under the influence, speeding and a marked lanes violation.
