    • Conspiracy drug law – Roxbury man, 30-year-old Jason Brewer, Dorchester man aged 29, Tommy Smith and 53-year-old Arlington man, Robert Hehir of Arlington. Brookline Police were investigating a medical emergency at 180 High Street, at around 9 p.m. Officers were canvassing the area for information about a reported gun shot when they encountered one person--Brewer--who said they were visiting their cousin, later identified as Tommy Smith, and that a friend was waiting for them in a green car around the corner. Police determined that Brewer had outstanding warrants for his arrest, and arrested and charged him on those warrants. While looking for the friend in the green car, officers saw Smith taking out the trash, and he appeared to be nervous. They investigated the trash and found a pizza box containing what they believe to be drug paraphernelia and particles of crack cocaine. Officers continued to canvas the area and found a third man who had pulled in nearby. After questioning the man, they arrested and charged him with conspiracy to commit drug law violations. Officers then went to speak with Smith, and noticed his eyes were bloodshot and he appeared to be sweating. They areested and charged him with possession to distribute a class B drug and a conspiracy drug law charge.
    • Larceny of property over $250 – Joshua Zunick, 22, of Beverly Road and Drew Levy, 20, of Newton Street. Police investigated a Bonad Road break-in on Jan. 20, during which a laptop and cell phone were stolen, and report that it seemed similar to another robbery on the VFW Parkway. During investigations, they determined that Zunick was a suspect, and placed him under arrest, charged with the breaking-and-entering, at around 5:15 p.m. Police followed up with an Allston business that buys, sells and repairs electronics, and acquired surveillance photos of Zunick and Levy selling the devices--they also found Levey's address and contact information. They called Levey to come into the station, and arrested and charged him with receiving stolen property over $250.
    • Unarmed robbery – A 16-year-old was arrested at Beaconsfield Road and Tappan Street, at 9:30 p.m. A woman was returning home on the T, when a suspect pushed her against the wall and demanded her money and phone--she handed him the entire bag. She reported to the Police that her phone was equipped with Apple's MobileMe app, which would help them locate the suspect. The app indicated that the phone was located at the Brookline Village T Stop, where police located items belonging to the woman in the trash. The woman called again with an update on the location, which appeared to be in Dorchester, where police apprehended a suspect matching the description who was talking on a cell phone. He was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery, and the victim's possessions were returned to her.

The officer arrested one of the two men and charged him with possession of a class B and E drug, and sent the other on his way.

The driver claimed to have run out of gas, and officers reported that he smelled of alcohol, and had glassy and bloodshot eyes. An officer responded to a man passed out in the front seat of his vehicle, at about 4:15 p.m. After several attempts to wake the man, he reportedly stumbled out of the vehicle. Officers noticed ripped bags in the ash tray that looked like those used in the sale of drugs, and asked him if he had used drugs--which he denied. The witness reported that two men were breaking a sign in the Beacon Street/Strathmore Road area. When officers found the two men, a sign they were pushing on fell into the roadway. They had picked up the sign, were banging on the curb, and were about to walk off with it when they noticed the police had pulled up behind them. They attempted to walk off, but were stopped by officers and asked for their identification. After speaking with witnesses, police returned to the men--at which point Michael McVicker became uncooperative.
