The following arrest report is based on Brookline Police Department reports for Aug. 6 through 12. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Tuesday, Aug. 7

• Open and gross lewdness – Yves Joseph, 57, of Everett. At about 5 p.m., a police received a report that a cab driver was masturbating in his vehicle outside of the Holiday Inn. A witness claimed that she saw him moving his hand in his pants, and when she made eye contact with him, he appeared to move his hand faster. He denied the claim, but when a witness identified him, police arrested and charged him with open and gross lewdness. 
• Unarmed Robbery – Peter DaMasi of Baltimore, MD, aged 17. At 11 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, police took a report of a robbery in Knyvet Park. Two people were walking through the park when three men approached them and took a wallet, license, school ID, credit card and cell phone. One victim had minor cuts on his face, but neither of them needed medical attention. On Tuesday, one of the victims told police he had seen the at least one of the men involved. After interviewing DaMasi at his home, he was arrested and charged with the unarmed robbery. The Brookline Police Blog reports, that a juvenile from Hyde Park was also arrested and charged for the incident.

Wednesday, Aug. 8

• Warrant arrest – 23-year-old Alison Goodliss, Hammond Pond Parkway resident. After a disagreement between a brother and sister over the use of someone's vehicle, about 1:15 p.m., Brookline Police determined that Goodliss had an outstanding warrant from Brighton Court for possession of drugs. 

Thursday, Aug. 9

• Open and gross lewdness – Fyodor Finkle, Roslindale man, 54. Police arrested and charged him with open and gross lewdness at about 8:30 p.m., at Lee Street and Dudley Street.

Friday, Aug. 10

• Warrant arrest – Jean Berthony, 20, of Brighton. Police received information about an outstanding warrant for receiving stolen property and receiving a stolen credit card. They spoke with him at his address and placed him under arrest, charging him on those outstanding warrants at about 8 p.m.
• Warrant arrest – Boston man, 31, Frederick Bosserman. An officer saw a man known by police to have outstanding warrants for his arrest for a recently-reported restraining order violation. Police arrested him under arrest on that warrant and an outstanding warrant for counts of larceny, assault-and-battery, and indimitation of a witness in September 2011. 

Saturday, Aug. 11

• Operating under the influence of alcohol – Dorchester man, Nicholas Latoya, aged 31. An officer driving on Harvard Street, 2 a.m. on Saturday morning, reported seeing a vehicle driving quickly, then coming to a sudden stop at an intersection. When the light turned green, the car cut over into the right lane. When police pulled him over, they determined that the man had been driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, failing to stop at a red light, a marked lanes violation, driving with a license not in his possession, and an open container of alcohol.
• Shoplifting – 47-year-old Fredericka Golston of Roxbury, and 48-year-old Troy Leatherwood of Brighton. An officer in Coolidge Corner watched a woman take a full plastic shopping bag out of her backpack and hand it to a man. The woman walked then into Walgreens with her empty backpack. The man seemed to notice a detective in the area, and became fixated on the police presence. As the officer walked into Walgreens behind the woman, the woman left and got onto a bus with the man. Officers stopped the bus and spoke to the two people, inside their bag, they found a number of items stolen from the area and a folding knife. Police also found a warrant in the woman's name. While looking at surveillance videos, police saw the woman leaving Walgreens with a floral print bag that appeared to be full, which she was not carrying when she entered the shop. Police arrested both of them, and charged Leatherwood with two counts of joint-venture shoplifting. Golston is being charged on two counts of shoplifting, the warrant, carrying a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen property. 

Sunday, Aug. 12

• Trespassing – Castleton, NY man, 23-year-old Nicholas Farone. Police saw a disheveled-looking man walking out of the parking lot at Washington Street and Davis Avenue, past a sign which read "No Trespassing." He was charged with trespassing.
