Brookline-Newton North Football: A 117-Year Rivalry (VIDEO)

The two neighboring towns have battled for Football Supremacy on Thanksgiving Day for over a century.

Since 1894, Brookline and Newton North High Schools have battled for supremacy on the football field. This heated rivalry returns on Thanksgiving morning, 10 a.m. at Parsons Field in Brookline, 175 Kent Street.

Today, the teams will meet, as they have for more than a quarter-century, when the Brookline and Newton Rotary Clubs bring the rival athletes together on the Tuesday before. It's on neutral ground where they will shake hands and eat together.
