Brookline Selectwoman Nancy Daly pins a boutonniere on Town Administrator Richard Kelliher at his farewell reception at Town Hall on June 29. Kelliher will leave his position July 2 after serving as the town's unelected chief executive for 15 years.
A Siña Lightworks light installation entitled "Spinning Shaft" in the Korean Church of Boston in Brookline, which opened a striking new addition in Brookline Village this year.
Jack Kirrane, captain of the 1960 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team and longtime resident, says a few words at a dedication ceremony for the town skating rink, which was re-named in Kirrane's honor.

In the six months since Brookline Patch launched at the end of June, we've been at nearly every major event and milestone in town—with notebook, camera and recorder in hand. We were in Town Hall when Richard Kelliher celebrated his last day leading the town and we were on the field when four of Brookline's Pop-Warner teams took their perfect season into the play offs. And at each event, our photographers were there in the background, ready to capture the moment.

As we get ready for the New Year, Brookline Patch looked back at our first six months on the web and sorted out ten of our favorite images from Patch photographers. Some shots are just interesting, funny or beautiful, while others represent milestone in the year and our town's history. Either way, this is how we'll remember 2010 in Brookline.

How do you remember the year? Upload your own photos, or comment below if there's a photo you've seen on Brookline Patch you think should be here.
