Inviting all men from Massachusetts and beyond...

  • May 8, 2012

The 46th Massachusetts Men's Gathering retreat is happening June 1-3, 2012.

The Massachusetts Men's Gathering (MMG) is a participant-organized and participant-led weekend retreat that happens twice a year in a rustic setting in central Massachusetts. Now in its 23rd year, MMG attracts men from many different walks of life. The weekend includes workshops which are offered by participant volunteers, sharing their interests and expertise. Past workshops have included: discussions on men’s health, relationships, active stretching, cooking, men’s weight issues, fathers and sons, drumming, and other diverse topics. The weekend includes plenty of free time to explore a 20 acre private lake or enjoy the many hiking trails. The Saturday night talent show is another highlight of the weekend.

The MMG weekend is an opportunity for men 18 and older to find a different way to connect - a little more openly, a little more honestly, and with a little less fear - with some truly unique and supportive men. Men typically leave an MMG weekend having made new friends, learning a little more about themselves, and having become better men, fathers, husbands, and friends.

MMG is held at the Joslin Diabetes Camp for boys in Charlton, the weekend is drug and alcohol-free. Fees are on a sliding scale based on income, and range from $95 to $215. The registration fee includes all meals and lodging. Fathers, sons, brothers, grandfathers, friends and mentors are encouraged to attend. First-timers are invited to attend at half-price!
